other means." I prefer a more hopeful definition, and lean toward Michael Oakeshott’s definition as "attending to arrangements." Or, Claes Ryn’s definition—"the peaceful settlement of antigone's hubris disputes"—especially since Ryn correlates politics at its best with community. Such an antigone's flaw emphasis would require the student of politics to examine not just who gets what, but how individuals arrange things, antigone catharsis and how each takes into consideration the others who are trying to do the same. At the very least, the peaceful conduct of affairs would require some sort of agreement
on the rules. To get that agreement without actual violence, participants might still use threats based on superior power (natural or supernatural), although eventually a challenge may require executing the threat. Peaceful arrangements could also depend on deceit, bribes, persuasion and an endless variety of human tricks. The goal is to obtain sufficient agreement among enough of the individuals subject to antigone hubris quotes the arrangements to give the rules stability. This is true even for political regimes based on some principle other than consent of the governed. Failure leads to chaos, rebellion, war or permanent and physical separation of contending factions. How to attend to these arrangements and rearrangements? One choice is simply to vote, but the time-honored distrust of the tyranny of the majority would require something more. Ideally, the political community follows the advice of the wisest. But who is wisest? Who decides who is wisest? Which decisions the wisest are to decide, which are for individuals, which should be left to habit or custom? The difficulty in answering such questions has led many thinkers to identify deliberation as essential to the political process. Political deliberation requires listening and persuading, engaging and being engaged. Success depends, above all, on compromise. That is, it requires yielding here and there to the opposition, and winning some concession here and there in return. The greatest obstacle to this kind of deliberation is hubris. It should be no surprise that the first to become aware of

Sophocles' Antigone, the audience learns that Creon, the king of Thebes, has decreed death for anyone who buries Polyneices, who waged war against Thebes. When Antigone buries Polyneices, Creon refuses to make an exception to his http://www.nhinet.org/lines.htm decree despite the fact that Antigone is his niece and is engaged to marry his son, Haemon. Creon even angrily rejects Haemon's reasonable efforts to get Creon to reconsider his decree of death against Antigone. Finally, however, Creon is persuaded by the prophet Teiresias to change his mind and reverse his sentence against Antigone. Unfortunately, by the time Creon reaches the place where Antigone has been imprisoned, the girl has already killed herself. http://www.enotes.com/homework-help/creon-makes-several-errors-judgement-before-end-295417 Creon's son Haemon also kills himself after his failed attempt to kill Creon. To make matters worse, Creon's wife, in grief over the death of Haemon, kills herself. While it is difficult for a modern audience not to feel some measure of sorrow or sympathy for Creon, I am hard pressed to find much sympathy for Creon expressed in Sophocles' text. The only speaking parts in the final part of the play, after Creon learns of the death of his wife (the final death of the three for which he is held responsible), belong to the Chorus, which is comprised of elderly Theban men. Creon makes a number of lamentations, but the Theban elders do not offer any remarks that sound like explicit expressions of sympathy. As the play ends, the Theban elders observe that the "boasts of arrogant men / bring on great blows of punishment" (Ian Johnston's translation). This does not sound very sympathic to me. So, while I personally feel sorry for Creon and he does evoke sympathy from me, I am not finding much sympathy for Creon in the final remarks made by the Chorus. the Tragic Hero of Antigone Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I am here today to argue the title of tragic hero http://www.123helpme.com/view.asp?id=14673 in the play Antigone by Sophocles. I would like to start off by saying that it will be extremely difficult for me to have the passion that I usually have because of my client. My client's ruthless leadership disgusts me in the worst way. https://prezi.com/agcxau37jvad/antigone-lecture-notes/ But I will still stand in front of you, the jury, and defend my client. As I said before I am here to argue the title of tragic hero in the play Antigone. I could see that some of you are dazzled by in antigone the word "tragic hero". No need to worry for I will enlighten you. The great Aristotle was one of the first men who defined a tragic hero. His definition is not a rule for what tragedy should be, but it is a description of what he believed tragedy was. According to Aristotle a tragic hero must have these qualities to qualify as one. A tragic hero is neither good nor bad. Along with being neutral in his stance, a tragic hero must also be born into royalty. A antigone error judgment tragic hero could never be of the common folk. In addition to this a tragic hero must suffer a large fall from good grace. By this he means that a fall that brings him "down to earth". A tragic hero also has some type of flaw. Whether it is a character flaw such as pride and ego or the character must make an error of judgment or a mistake. With the tragic flaw the character must also recognize the flaw that they have made. In other words, they have to be enlightened. The audience is then supposed to feel pity and fear for the tragic hero because of his tumultuous journey. The tragic hero also is supposed to inspire catharsis in the audience. In some respects Creon is seen as good but with others as bad. The large fall that Creon took was the fall from the good grace of being a respected king. "Your people are beginning to question your judgment and are beginning to side with Antigone." (Scene 2, Lines 256-257) This is the preliminary stage of Creon's dawdling fall from authority. His family may see him as a fine leader, but the people who are under his authority see him as an unfit ruler to lead them. He is beginning to be questioned by his own people which foreshadows unrest and calamity within his own family. The idea of him loosing control of him own dynastic rule, sets the stage for the large fall that this tragic hero is supposed to encounter. A tragic

A Windows error is an error that happens when an unexpected condition occurs or when a desired operation has failed. When you have an error in Windows, it may be critical and cause your programs to freeze and crash or it may be seemingly harmless yet annoying.
A stop error screen or bug check screen, commonly called a blue screen of death (also known as a BSoD, bluescreen), is caused by a fatal system error and is the error screen displayed by the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems upon encountering a critical error, of a non-recoverable nature, that causes the system to "crash".
One of the biggest causes of DLL's becoming corrupt/damaged is the practice of constantly installing and uninstalling programs. This often means that DLL's will get overwritten by newer versions when a new program is installed, for example. This causes problems for those applications and programs that still need the old version to operate. Thus, the program begins to malfunction and crash.
Computer hanging or freezing occurs when either a program or the whole system ceases to respond to inputs. In the most commonly encountered scenario, a program freezes and all windows belonging to the frozen program become static. Almost always, the only way to recover from a system freeze is to reboot the machine, usually by power cycling with an on/off or reset button.
Once your computer has been infected with a virus, it's no longer the same. After removing it with your anti-virus software, you're often left with lingering side-effects. Technically, your computer might no longer be infected, but that doesn't mean it's error-free. Even simply removing a virus can actually harm your system.
