Went through checking drivers, ports and parallel cables. What it came down to was low ink. The owner removed the ink tanks and shook them. Re-installed them and then I re-installed the printer. I started working after that.Going back to the first post it is not clear if this printer was previously installed on that computer. The parallel port type may be set wrong. I think the default type is SPP, which works with older printers. Your printer may need a more advanced setting. Find those settings in integrated peripherals in the BIOS. It seems to me in previous posts there have been a lot of issues using Epsons window's drivers. Most people end up using OPOS. If you must use window's drivers you might be better off switching to a Star printer.
