to work at all. I have tested 8 different XML config files, from every site/forum that I was able to find. Unfortunately always I am getting Error Verifying Config Info (file name correct, firmware version updated, Elastix with enabled TPC, extension also changed to TCP). What is more scarying is that this phone keeps looking for TVL files and won't upgrade / downgrade to any other firmware (with 7950 I just had to change firmware version in info line and here is nothing). Is it maybe because in Admin Settings -> Security -> Trust List -> there is (signed) next to Configuration ?? I https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/8106/ip-phone-displays-error-verifying-config-info-error-message-cisco-callmanager-cluster have found info that TLV are some extra security files. Is this phone dead end ? Is there any way to remove need of searching for TLV files, update firmware and sign up with my Asterisk server ? Regards johnkiniston 2016-08-31 16:46:50 UTC #2 Have you attempted to contact the vendor of your phones for support? This doesn't really have to do anything with asterisk itself. carmamir 2016-08-31 17:11:28 UTC #3 https://community.asterisk.org/t/cisco-9971-error-verifying-config-info-cant-upgrade-or-connect-looking-for-tlvs/67928 No I didn't as I want to use it with Asterisk, not CUCM. Looking for a way to configure 9971 to work with Asterisk, so I guess there are people out here, that had this issue and somehow resolved it. johnkiniston 2016-08-31 17:15:55 UTC #4 I understand that you want to use your phone with Asterisk yes, But you are asking for help configuring the phone itself not with your asterisk configuration. carmamir 2016-08-31 18:23:09 UTC #5 If you do not know how to help and you want to play about semantics, well maybe just find another topic to do that. Question is simply and has nothing to do with CUCM, however everything with Asterisk and config for Cisco phones for Asterisk. Cisco support WON'T answer this as they simply has no idea how to make this phone work with Asterisk. Question is clear and I am asking for some help from people that can actually have some knowledge in this particular field. I am not asking if you think that it has nothing to do with Asterisk (logical error). You can think whatever you want, but just do not spam topics with so irrelevant posts. If you would have some knowledge about it, YOU WOULD KNOW that Asterisk has to

Purdue Random Cisco 7970G + Asterisk Posted in Cisco, Dark Horse Networks, asterisk on March 20th, 2008 | 10 responses The Cisco 7970G IP Phone is by far one of the nicest VoIP Phones i have ever used. However, getting it to work outside the standard Cisco Call Manager environment with Asterisk can be a challenge. After weeks of testing various configurations and tweaking settings on both the phone and Asterisk, i was able to finally get a working configuration that works for both local network connections and NAT as well. As with any setup there are some prerequisites that must be met to perform this setup. It is possible that other configurations and software versions will work, however this is what I have currently working. You are welcome to let me know if you have other setups that work. My Configuration & Setup Asterisk 1.4.18 Cisco 7970G (firmware: SIP70.8-3-4SR1S) 2 Cisco 1811 routers (IOS: 12.4(15)T1) I successfully tested the following configurations with the phone: The NAT Setup* 7970G <-> 1811 (w/ NAT) <-> Internet <-> 1811 (w/ NAT) <-> Asterisk The DMVPN Setup (Same as a local network) 7970G <-> 1811 <-> Internet (VPN) <-> 1811 <-> Asterisk The DMVPN setup was the most trivial as it was essentially a local network with the Asterisk server. The NAT setup was the harder one to get working, however, once I got a configuration file that worked with NAT, the same configuration worked for the DMVPN or local setup as well. *I believe that one of the keys to getting the 7970G working over NAT was the fact that it was behind a Cisco router (the 1811). Because this router's NAT implementation is SIP aware, it is able to properly handle SIP messages over NAT from the 7970G. This being said, the 7970G may not function properly over NAT on other routers. XML Configuration File Below you will find the link to my XML configuration file (with passwords and IP's of my private network removed of course) Cisco 7970 Configuration XML NOTE: The file should be in the form "SEPmac_address.cnf.xml" when you place it on your TFTP server. where mac_address is the MAC address of your Cisco IP phone. Asterisk Configuration In order to get the Cisco 7970G to register to asterisk (either over NAT or VPN) the NAT flag in your sip.conf (or in FreePBX) must be set to "never" and qualify must be set to "yes". I know it seems counter intuitive to keep NAT tu

A Windows error is an error that happens when an unexpected condition occurs or when a desired operation has failed. When you have an error in Windows, it may be critical and cause your programs to freeze and crash or it may be seemingly harmless yet annoying.
A stop error screen or bug check screen, commonly called a blue screen of death (also known as a BSoD, bluescreen), is caused by a fatal system error and is the error screen displayed by the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems upon encountering a critical error, of a non-recoverable nature, that causes the system to "crash".
One of the biggest causes of DLL's becoming corrupt/damaged is the practice of constantly installing and uninstalling programs. This often means that DLL's will get overwritten by newer versions when a new program is installed, for example. This causes problems for those applications and programs that still need the old version to operate. Thus, the program begins to malfunction and crash.
Computer hanging or freezing occurs when either a program or the whole system ceases to respond to inputs. In the most commonly encountered scenario, a program freezes and all windows belonging to the frozen program become static. Almost always, the only way to recover from a system freeze is to reboot the machine, usually by power cycling with an on/off or reset button.
Once your computer has been infected with a virus, it's no longer the same. After removing it with your anti-virus software, you're often left with lingering side-effects. Technically, your computer might no longer be infected, but that doesn't mean it's error-free. Even simply removing a virus can actually harm your system.
Reimage repairs and replaces all critical Windows system files needed to run and restart correctly, without harming your user data. Reimage also restores compromised system settings and registry values to their default Microsoft settings. You may always return your system to its pre-repair condition.
Reimage patented technology, is the only PC Repair program of its kind that actually reverses the damage done to your operating system. The online database is comprised of over 25,000,000 updated essential components that will replace any damaged or missing file on a Windows operating system with a healthy version of the file so that your PC's performance, stability & security will be restored and even improve. The repair will deactivate then quarantine all Malware found then remove virus damage. All System Files, DLLs, and Registry Keys that have been corrupted or damaged will be replaced with new healthy files from our continuously updated online database.
