This discussion is locked Colorado Hunter Level 1 (0 points) Q: INTERNAL TARGET FAILURE when burning a DVD with Toast Have problems with my DVD drive. Nothing is mounted on the desktop when I insert a blank DVD.(or even a DVD with stuff on it) When I try and burn a DVD, during the burn process I get a dialogue box: "Drive reported error Sense Key= HARDWARE ERRORSense Code= 0x44, 0xD9 INTERNAL TARGET FAILURE. The disc is then ejected. I have an external Sony burner and I get a dialogue box that says: Sense Key= MEDIUM ERROR Sense Code= 0xOC WRITE ERROR. Both of these problems are intermitent.
